JS Chartier-Plante
Originally from Quebec City
It’s with his parents that Jean-Sébastien started skiing on the slopes of Stoneham. Always encouraged to play outside by his family dispersed from Quebec to Vancouver, he explored for the first time the Canadian Rockies at a young age. At 19 years old, he moved to Canmore to enjoy the mountain life and strengthen his skills. There, he met several experienced guides and mountaineers who took him under their wing. At the same time, he developed a love for photography that eventually became his career. Now back in Quebec, he loves to discover and document new skiing spots and above all, meet new people. Hokkaido, Val D’Aoste, Chamonix, Golden, Murdochville, Alaska and Yukon, he couldn’t choose which place he prefers, as long as there are mountains to explore.

His essentials
MTN-X
«A REAL mountain bib! The vents are the perfect length and there are deep pockets on the thighs to put your gloves or skins. There is also a pocket specifically designed for the transceiver; goodbye bulky harness!»
Valhalla Hooded Down Jacket
" Always in my backpack! There is nothing worse than being cold after an ascent; the jacket is out of my bag in one second and keeps me warm during transitions. The big hood fits perfectly over my helmet, and on the coldest days, I also keep it on for the descents. This jacket follows me on my every adventure, all year round. " - JS
