It Was Always
More Than Skiing
A nod to our roots, anchored in the golden era of freeskiing, a time when Orage helped shape the culture, style, and spirit of the sport. It was never just about skiing, it was about the lifestyle, the culture, the moments before and after the turns. It’s a reflection of who we’ve always been, not just a ski brand, but a creative force shaped by design, movement, and the outdoors.
Phase 01
The Genesis
The early spark. A new movement was taking shape, and freeskiing emerged as a creative rebellion against convention. Skiing was no longer just a sport; it became self-expression, freedom, and culture.
Phase 02
The Golden Years
The rules didn’t apply. The Orage Masters turned skiing into a show, a culture, a movement. It was creativity over conformity. Style mattered as much as skill. Teams showed up in full persona, mixing performance and parody, turning competition into culture. It was wild, it was weird, and it changed everything.
Phase 03
The Revolutionaries
The fire evolved. A new generation redefined performance through purpose and design. This era cemented one of the world’s most established ski athlete programs. The depth and duality of Orage came alive through JP Auclair and Phil Casabon, two opposites united by creativity and vision.
Phase 04
The Natural Evolution
The progression felt natural. The park kids grew up, but they never stopped playing. They just took it to the mountains. Hitting natural features became the new language of style. The Retallack collaboration proved what we already knew. Orage belonged in the heart of freeriding. Branded cats, deep snow, and a tight community defined the moment. It was the height of expression, where experience met instinct and style met terrain.
Phase 05
The Now
It started with a rebranding of Orage. A renewed vision built on our roots, blending the creativity of our past with the precision of modern design. The Chamonix flagship became the physical embodiment of that shift, a space where heritage meets forward thinking, and culture lives beyond the slopes. Alex Beaulieu-Marchand represents this evolution. Like Orage, he began in freestyle and grew into the backcountry, carrying the same creative drive into bigger terrain.
