Gilltek technology was born thanks to our strong complicity with our athletes. For nearly half a year, our creative director Fred tought, worked, tested, reworked and designed this innovative technology, in collaboration with our athlete Mason Mashon.

Fred, please explain to us what’s the
Gilltek technology?
“Paired with the Primaloft Thermoplume synthetic insulation, Gilltek technology consists of mesh vents designed to let excess heat out which allows incredible versatility. This vest offers comfort during backcountry adventures where the rider generates a lot of heat and on colder days at the ski center.”
This year, the Gilltek technology is in 2 MTN-X jackets only (the Corbet’s and the Horizon), but in the years to come, we will use the technology a lot more and implement it throughout the collection!
Where did the Gilltek idea came from?
“I was inspired by Mason! He needed a jacket adapted to his lifestyle. Something very versatile and that would control his body temperature. Mason needed a jacket that was comfortable and breathable enough when he rides actively, but also something warm when he is shooting photos or when he’s fishing and standing still.
I was also inspired by his origins. Originally Cree, Mason fishes a lot. I thought that a jacket that can breathe like fish gills would be really innovative!”
